In 1999, in Livade, Istria, Giancarlo Zigante and his truffle-hunting dog unearthed a record giant white truffle weighing 1,310 grams. The find was registered in the Guinness Book of Records and helped establish Istria as a world centre of truffles.
The fertile valley of the River Mirna and the protected Motovun Forest offer an exceptional microclimate and unpolluted environment. Their rich soils create ideal conditions for truffles to develop full aroma and character.
After harvesting, fresh truffles are processed in a modern facility using advanced methods and deep expertise. This approach protects the qualities of selected truffles and delivers premium products throughout the year.
